compilation of puppets used for stopmotion animation. All early 40th and 50th. Ninety Percent of puppetry in the cinema's was made in the East of Europe. The design was often traditional and by no means cartonesk. The origin of the design was based in the culture of that region. The stories were almost all folklore tales.

This was one of many drawings in a project about the development of animation over time.

The backgrond was originaly a dirty white but in time it got more dirty. Bad quality pater I gues. I replaced the background when I digitezed al the artwork I made on paper just to preserve it.
