Do you think that even Shadow couldn't defeat Malephar? I usually think that Shadow is virtually invincible, but I seriously think that this guy could punch him so hard that it sends him back 50 years or so. "Say hi to Maria, Shadow." *PUNCH*

xDDDDD Well, yes, Malephar is tough enemy, he can easily burn a whole village in a minute YET if the rain starts he'll be absolutely useless

Wow, that's even better than I thought! He's not just a dark creature with burning hands, he is a dual-type.(A pokemon that has two types if you didn't know. But he's obviously not a pokemon.) Dark/Fire is a great combo. But that is a pretty steep price for amazing fire-power. Of course, it still makes perfect sense. So, would bright sunlight or other kind of illumination be another weakness? And what animal is he? I think it's either a wolf, hedgehog, or fox. In my opinion, the dog family is a great idea. Here are some examples that support that idea:
Cerberus was the monster that gaurded Hades(the ancient Greek version of Hell), he was a giant black 3-headed dog. The pokemon Houndour and its evolution, Houndoom, were Dark/Fire-type and they were dogs. Another two pokemon, Vulpix and Ninetales, were Fire-type foxes. Also, two new fox pokemon, Zorua and Zoroark, are Dark-types. If I'm not mistaken, I do beleive that there are many examples of the japanese relationship between foxes and fire (isn't there something like that in Naruto...). Another ancient civilization that expressed the relationship between dogs and death (or darkness) was the Egyptians. Anubis was the god that had something to do with the afterlife or mummification or death....I forget which. But I do remember that he was a jackal (a member of the dog family) and worked for Osiris, the god of death.
So, as you can see, there are many references and relationships between the dog family and darkness/fire throughout not only anime, but also history. But making it a member of the dig family is just my opinion. You're the artist, so what YOU think counts.
