here’s the context; for the first few nights after Undyne and Sans'......discovery in waterfall, Undyne let Sans move his mattress into her room to sleep because, well, he was scared out of his mind. on the first night, Sans woke up screaming bloody murder from a nightmare. after Undyne finally calmed him down, he asked if he could sleep in her bed with her. taking into account what he'd been through, she agreed. (i don't need to say this, but it obviously wasn't romantic.)

Undyne promised Sans that she would stay awake until he fell asleep.
