Lucy's feelings were real, I am pretty sure of that. Just because she was a templar doesn't mean that she was evil. She had been left at Abstergo for ages, she felt abandoned by the Assassins and then she started to become a templar because templars promised peace. That's what she wanted, and that's why she changed sides. She didn't want to fight anymore, she thought what the templars do was the right. That's what I think, and an Ubisoft worker did also say something like that, I don't remember his exact words, but it was something like that.
So, Lucy wasn't evil. And I truly believe she had feelings for him.

I really hope to see her again in AC3, too. But unfortunately I don't think we will, since she is really dead
Ubisoft really killed her. But of course it would be a fucking awesome suprise, and there's still a bit hope left in me. We will see. Only a few months to go.
I thought Desmond feels for her, too, but Ubisoft really fucked that part up because Desmond didn't really grieve for her. That stupid "I am sorry. It wasn't me" and then not losing a single word about that incident and her death isn't a proper way of grieving in my opinion. Why did Ubisoft fuck that up? I don't understand
