The Realization of... Levi x Reader

Levi hadn't slept well, unable to shake the sinking feeling that you were hiding something. He still felt that way this morning, especially since you hadn't come to see him off before he left. He knew he shouldn't feel so on edge. This was just a routine expedition outside the walls... But something just felt off.
"I'm going to punish that woman when I get back, for annoying me." Erwin laughed, and Levi ignored him. Hanji sat on his other side trembling slightly. "You feel it too don't you?" The woman jerked before turning to Levi with anxious eyes.
"Huh?"
"Something's not right."
"It's unlike you to be nervous Captain." Levi gave the squad member a dead look.
"I'm fine, it's you idiots who should be worried." Erwin tugged his horse around so he was facing everyone.
"Remember, this time everyone keep your hoods up, understood?" This was followed by a chorus of 'yes sirs'. Then, they charged forward through the gates for another day of gore and bloodshed.

A smoke signal lit up the sky.
"Looks like we're done for the day, head back." His squad nodded and they headed back out of the forest toward the rendezvous point. Someone could be heard screaming once they got near. Levi scoffed. "Hanji has to be the loudest idiot on Earth." Levi wandered over to where a distressed looking Hanji was yelling at a very somber looking Erwin.
"We can't leave yet I still have two people unaccounted for."
"They're probably dead, we might as well-"
"No! We didn't see their bodies, please-"
"If we stay here we lose more." Hanji gave Levi a panicked look.
"You don't understand."
"Whoever they were, they made a valuable contribution. Now -" Levi was cut off by a scream that made all the blood leave his face. "No." He knew that voice. It was the same voice that plagued his dreams, and after hearing that voice out here, his nightmares. He sent a harsh glare to Erwin. "This is what you were talking to her about?"
"Levi-Levi wait! Where are you going? Come back here! It's too dangerous-Levi that's an order! Levi!" He ignored the sound of the Commander and ran toward the voice that cried out, your voice.

You stared up at the titan before you in horror, mixed with fury. What just... No, he can't... More blood from your former squad-mate's body dripped onto your face as the monster took a final bite before swallowing what was left of the poor man.
"You-you-monster! How dare you! He was my friend!" You gripped tighter onto the leg you were holding, the only part of the man's body that hadn't been eaten, and then you hit the titan with it. The beast lowered its gaze to your, relatively, tiny form. "I hope they kill you! I hope they destroy every one of you! Just you watch, Levi will-ack!" Branches snapped as you rolled to the side, away from the monster's teeth. You looked him over once more as he loomed above you. Long, greasy brown hair; flat nose, wide green eyes that were set far apart; and an over-sized set of pearly white teeth, shown to the world due to the lack of lips. That was something that had always confused you, it's not like they had dental care, so how did their teeth- Your thoughts were cut short as you ducked to the side again. A growl ripped from your throat. You pressed the buttons on your C-Gear, even though you knew the attempt was futile. The mechanism didn't respond at all. Giving up on that, you grasped the nearest low-lying branch and tried to haul yourself upwards. "Seriously, I can't believe I'm going to die because my own invention failed me." Tears came to your eyes. Maybe this is payback, for all those soldiers that died because their gear malfunctioned.
The creature stretched up effectively grasping you in its hand. Your eyes widened and you began to struggle. "No! Not yet. Levi, I didn't get to-I was so mean to him yesterday. I never got to explain." You laughed dryly. "I knew if he found out about this he'd stop me. I'm such an idiot. Levi..." Suddenly, the fingers released you, and you found yourself in the arms of someone was a scouting legion uniform. The person sat you down on, what guessed was, their horse before turning and glaring at you. "Levi?"
"Shut up, you can talk when your safe." He leapt up, quickly killing the titan. Huffing, he joined you on the horse, still glaring intently. "Your lucky I was here." A grin spread across your features.
"Well, you came on this mission too, how much danger could I have been in? Hahaha..." When his look didn't change you simply buried your face in his cloak as the two of you rode back towards the gates. Back at the base, the two of you went to Erwin's office, along with Erwin and Hanji.
"(Name)! You're alive! I was so worried!"
"She's not going to be if you don't stop choking her." At Levi's words Hanji released you from her death-hug and held you at arms length. You smiled and waved her off.
"I'm fine. Levi was there, being a hero like always, so all's good." Levi let out a 'humph' and ignored the two of you, glancing instead towards Erwin.
"From now on, whenever there is anything planned that has to do with my fiancé, I want to be told." Cue spit-take of you with your water.
"Fi-fiancé? What?" Levi pulled a box from his pocket, grabbed your left hand a jammed a ring onto your ring-finger. Your mouth fell open to an o shape, and Levi smirked. "It's so pretty."
"I was planning on asking you, but after what happened today I'm not giving you a choice. I'm the only one strong enough to keep you from getting yourself killed." You ignored him and began squealing like the fangirl you are.
"Hanji! Look at it!" You held your hand out to your giggling squad leader. Yea, you were now content with your life.

Upon arriving in his room Levi promptly shut the door and pushed you against it. Heat flared across your cheeks as he began to place harsh, fast kisses onto your lips, face, and neck.
"Levi!"
"Do you have any idea how worried I was?" He stopped and stared straight into your eyes, eyes that were still swirling from his kisses. "Never do that again." You nodded weakly. He continued his assault and began pulling you towards his bed. Pushing him away, you shook your head and began wagging your finger at him.
"Nuh-uh mister. You've waited this long, you can hold out til your wedding night." He leaned forward and kissed you once more.
"Our wedding night." A silly grin crossed your face. "Don't bother packing clothes for the honeymoon."
"Levi!" You sighed exasperatedly, but smiled. "I love you." He gave you that gentle smile that was reserved only for you.
