Description
Stanley Pines has always been a family man. One day, two four year old kids appear on the doorstep of the hotel he was spending the month at, saying he's their dad, and their mother had them sent off to him since she couldn't take care of them anymore. Despite his lack of stability, he takes them in, and does his absolute best to make their lives of always being on the move as comfortable as possible.

Just over a year later, while staying at a hotel in New Mexico, a post card slips through the door.

This drawing in particular was for a few things. For one, I wanted to post about The Brother and the Father, because I've still got to write a version of Chapter Three I'm happy with, but I feel like it's been too long personally for radio silence. It's still being worked on! I'm just a bad writer and I've rewritten the first five pages worth a good few times now.

Plus, I wanted to nail my designs for the characters down. Dipper will eventually get his cap, but until then, you get curly-haired Dippy Boi! As well, Mabel's hair hasn't been brushed in a while, which is why it's so much more messy than her normal design. That will change too! Nailing Stanley's design was a bit fun, and I think I've gotten it down. the eyes are actually the right size this time, so it doesn't look abnormal (I hope!), and I think I nailed the mullet.

I'm really proud of how this came out overall, and I hope you all enjoy it. If you have any criticism or feedback, please don't hesitate to share! I want to improve as an artist!
