Description I kept seeing this "Inktober" thing floating around over the years, but never actually by the first of October, so I've always been too late to jump in. Not this year! Unfortunately, as my scanner has ceased to exist, I'm forced to do this whole thing digitally, though I do have some nice pens that I really need to break in one of these days.

Not only am I taking this as a "draw a thing every day for a month" challenge, I'm also constraining myself in two other ways, because I like needless restrictions:

* I can only work at a canvas size of 800x600, alterable only in orientation.
* I can only work in black and white.

Let's see if I can keep at it. I'll be going with the prompts on inktober.com/rules .

============

I was a little worried when I initially looked over the prompt list and found "pattern" lurking in there. When the day actually came, though... boy, did my brain ever give me an ambitious project within ten seconds.

We're going to Gensokyo, because the first thing to come to mind was bullet patterns. And we're featuring my second favorite Touhou character, one Yuyuko Saigyouji. (Most favorite is Byakuren, by the way.) My initial thought for the whole thing actually bounced between Yukari and Youmu, of all people, probably because of all the straight lines involved. I wasn't invoking any spellcard in particular, truth be told.

Stippling! Hoo, this took some work. There's probably a tool in Krita that makes this a lot less work for my wrist and my stylus nib, but I'm still happy with the result, given my relative haste. It's not quite how I envisioned it, but I wasn't really sure how to execute my vision when the time came. Ah well.
