History: Conrad was born on the streets with his mother, the two had started a life of crime since Conrad could walk. Conrad’s mother was experienced in how to steal and would often use Conrad as a distraction while she picked wallets for anything useful. As Conrad grew older his mother started to notice that there was someone following them around. She assumed it was some form police wanting to arrest her and Conrad for stealing, so she decided to take conrad to the forest and train him to perform a new distraction keeping the law authority off their trail. Little did Conrad’s mother know it was actually a scout sent by Conrad’s father to watch over and see to it that the two never bothered him.
While they spent time hiding in the forest Conrad started to enjoy swinging from the tall trees carelessly flying around feeling his heart race made him extremely excited. When the time finally came around for them to go back out Conrad was around 14 and had asked his mother if he could do some tricks as a distraction instead of causing a more public distraction like faking an accident. Conrad’s mother saw the sparkle in his eyes and decided to take advantage of that knowing that he could draw a bigger crowd for her to pickpocket, that and it was a mix up from her old ways. Some of the time Conrad’s mother would even sit and watch and allow Conrad to build up some actual money from his performances.
The two started off traveling around with Conrad doing small performances while his mother lifted valuables off of the crowd. They eventually had to swap this around when Conrad broke his wrist during one of the performances. His mother took the role of a poor old woman on the sides of the streets, which wasn’t to uncommon for people to see while roaming around. So sometimes she would need to cause a scene, which would quickly get them chased out of the town. It was a rough few weeks but luckily Conrad made a quick recovery and was performing again within a few weeks. However a few years after the two had started to make good money Conrad started to grow a distaste for his mother, feeling that she was only using him and always had been. So Conrad found a way to get her caught by the authorities, leaving him free to do what he would like. Little did he realize that in doing this, he would also be hunted. So he managed to escape away to SpaceTacular where he spent a year of his life before returning hope to look for answers.
When Conrad first returned hope he was bitter over everything he had remembered about his childhood. The feeling and confusion of his relationship with his mother needed to be cleared up if he was going to find a proper way to resolve his issues. He started off by tracking down his father, this proved to be a rather tough endeavor taking a few weeks to make sure it was really his father. Upon their first interactions there was an extreme amount of discomfort and rejection between the two. With Conrad questioning why he hadn’t accepted him and forced him to live that way. Conrad’s father calling him a disgrace to hold his name up when he did deep down want to connect in some way with his son. Eventually some truth was set up behind Conrad’s mother and he learned how she was truly caring, and it would seem odd that she would have taken advantage of him. Especially since Conrad’s father offered her money and she declined it.
It wasn’t until a little while later that Conrad found why his father had made it seem like he was a disgrace and that was because of the two children Conrad’s father had. The first was a son, about the same age as Conrad, the other was a younger girl in her pre teens. The son resented Conrad calling him a putrid half breed, while the little sibling considered Conrad as a cool family member.
Eventually Conrad was chased away and turned into jail where he spent his second year back on his home planet. While he was there he managed to learn that his mother had passed away. But all she had ever talked about was how proud she was of her son. This of course made Conrad feel like a piece of trash because in the end it was him who turned her in. After a while he plotted his escape with two others who were imprisoned in the same facility he was.
On the day they made their escape the three went their separate ways once being clear of the moon which was turned into a prison. Feeling conflicted Conrad used some time evading the authorities to think about what he held dear. Once he had found his freedom he found a message that he had received from his friends Inzu and Lexus and spent a few years tracking down the message to find it led him to Solaris Sanctuary. Needing to get back to the last family he had Conrad sent in an application and ended up talking his way into the head staff somehow.
Roleplay Example:
“Alright let’s do this.” Conrad huffed as he tapped his feet against the ground to feel out his balance. It seemed relatively alright, there was a slight strain in his right side, but it shouldn’t be anything that he should overly worry about. He started his climb up above the stage, time for this old up in the air act eh? Well it was his specialty so it wouldn’t be to overwhelmingly hard to pull it off. The lights flashed on and the curtains were drawn away to reveal an empty looking stage. Two bars suddenly started swaying to and fro in a rhythm.
Conrad took in a deep breath before landing himself on the first swinging bar. He started off by contorting his body to swing around the ring, this caused a bit of a hiccup in the rhythm of the bars, but the end result caused the crowd to give a short applause. Conrad had spun himself around a few times, allowing himself to wrap his tail around the bar and swing about close to what a money would look like. The various colored ribbons dangled down shimmering off of the lights that shined brightly on him.
He took a few moments to take some deep breaths and count out the timing of the other swing. “One, two, three.” Conrad counted under his breath as he started to swing himself forward and back. Again he counted and suddenly he unraveled his tail and swing himself with a heave up momentum up in the air where he performed a few simple spins before tucking himself and grabbing a sturdy hold of the second bar. The crowd expressed amazement with his timing and performance so far, letting out another short round of applause.
Now was time for Conrad to finish up his act, after all there were a few others who still needed to put on their acts for tonight. With a glance behind up he counted out his timing. Then with another heave of momentum he flung himself backwards and landed on the first bar with his legs and tail gripping the pole. The crowd gasped as the lights faded off and the curtains shut for the next act to beguin. There was cheering and applause as Conrad pulled his props out of sight. He carefully climbed down the ladder and walked back stage so he could watch the other performance.
Extra:
Conrad loves to read mapping books in his spare time instead of interacting with others
He is a vegan and only eats fresh fruits and vegetables.
His hair has been stained red from a glitter bomb which had a different chemical makeup than previous ones. This sadly ended up staining half of his hair.
