I really liked writing her in Revisionist; she’s a bubbly dork who loves her brother

Mkay so I'm going to ramble about her here real quick:
-She loves her brother Jay's Wing a lot, and the two really depended on each other after their parents died.
-Because of the whole Time Travel thing being different in Revisionist, Jayfeather leaving the first time lined up with Jay's Wing having a minor crisis and leaving in the night. Dove is reasonably shaken up by this, with most of the group writing him off as dead and moving on to the mountains anyway. Half Moon keeps her grounded during this, and helps her deal with everything that's happened.
-Jay's Wing concludes his crisis and tries to return to the Ancients, ending up tailing them all the way up the mountains, surviving pretty much on pure luck and a little bit of spiritual intervention. When he gets to them, she sees him and just stares in disbelief. This is pretty much where Jayfeather kicks back in, and he feels like an intruder as this cat- his "sister" cries and tackles him, latching onto him and saying "I thought you were dead- how did you survive- oh, nevermind, I don't care, Jay, I'm so glad you're back!" between sobs.
-Jayfeather, knowing Dovewing at this point, immediately makes the connection between his "sister" and the small gray she-cat in the present. When he gets back to his time, he's much more affectionate with her, and even has to shake himself sometimes because she's not Dove's Wing, and he's not Jay's Wing.

Basically I took the time-travel nonsense and gave y'all some adorable sibling dynamics to compensate for it not making any sense at all.
