Intrusive thoughts dictate I poke the prickly plant (a Cholla cactus). Those thoughts did not win.A first aid kit is available at this Cholla Garden at Joshua Tree. It is an ammo box bolted to a pole with a pair of pliers welded to a steel wire, which is fastened to the ammo box.
