Legend of the Cryptids card (Master Alchemist Märkl reg.)Lore: "The famed alchemist Märkl was suddenly summoned to appear before the king. He had heard of her ability to produce gold and demanded she do so at once. She warned him by stating that its invocation would bring out a horrible tragedy, yet the stubborn king threatened her with the guillotine if she did not cooperate. With an expression of indifference, Märkl relented and began the procedure. "But I doubt you are prepared to pay the cost..."

They never listen do they XD Really nice composition, and love how Markl is so unexpectedly colourful among all the metal and neutral fabric.

The composition here is brilliant. There's the flow of lines guiding the eye, and the use of colour and sharpness to bring the focus on Markl's face. And I love the way you used value and detail level to create the sense of space, that there's a whole big room full of guards and watchers behind her. (And that's not even getting into her expression and posture.) Great illustration!

Beautiful I like her "whaddayouwantmetodoaboutit?" expression very subtle, I find those types of expressions are the hardest ones to convey. I was wondering what's the original image size you use while working and what kind of brush set do you use to achieve that look? Is it like a conte or pastel kind of brush?
