I love sparkle dogs and scene dogs... Anyone who knows me for longer than 5 minutes knows that. So here is a sparkledog batch! Which I worked.. my ass off on. And I really hope you guys like them. They're kind of a "new age sparkledog" + old time sparkledog aesthetics mixed into one.
The last row was sort of meant as a "sparkledogs throughout the past 2 decades" thing. Very originally any dog OC that, heavens forbid, had an ~unnatural color~ in their design were called "sparkledogs". It was pretty mean spirited. Then the focus mostly shifted to the scene dogs, which were usually over-the-top crazy detailled, usually binary/pixel brush drawn, canine OCs/sonas with big hair and many colors and whatever the person wanted on the design. Represented in #13. #14 shows sort of what I saw post 2013-2014 ish. Let's be real, cringe culture to sparkledogs was the equivalent to the meteorite to the dinosaurs. You saw almost None anymore. It was pretty sad and I thought they'd be gone forever, I also ofc "cringed" when i saw them at that time (even though I loved them) because that was the "trend" IG. But.. Now, ever since 2018 ish I've noticed scene dogs / sparkle dogs resurface! It's so cool. #15 is meant to show how some people really imitate "back then"'s designs, however since most people now are adults, our design skills also have gotten better since.. we.. were.. TWELVE... LOL. So it is still an over-the-top design but.. more organized!
