CHAPTER 1 | Escape

Have you ever dreamed of being in a land, filled with magic and discovery? Have you ever wished to bottle fame, control death, or bring forth eternal happiness? I know that I did once. Instead, I'm stored away in a strange place I've never seen before. Every once in a while, I can see sunlight gleaming through the cracked wood, that are my walls. Sometimes I think about escaping, but I would only be locked away in a darker place. Why do I live this way you might ask? Well, this is a question I do not understand myself. My efforts to break through oppression, have failed. I don't have a family anymore. My papa told me stories of dragons, fairies, and elves. I gained a great deal of pleasure and curiosity from these stories. I am endlessly drawn to adventure. Each night, it's a new place. I just know I'm meant to escape this horrible life and before my next move, I shall. I have spent each night planning. Sleep is forbidden. Tomorrow, I am to eradicate my struggles and be reborn. My name is Anthio, and my tale begins now!
