"The sunset last night was pretty dull." the man said to Matilda. Her contact had given her that as the latest pass code just days before.
"But the tides were higher than normal." she replied and the man nodded with recognition.

"So milady, how were the shipments this week?" he asked as she led him down the winding streets of the docks and into the city.

"Very good indeed Sir. The final Captain deposited his share last night. We'll finally be able to pay off the magistrate." she responded as she took him back and forth down the alleys of the city, until they came to the villa where she'd been told the haul had been secreted. It was a little used alley with no one in sight.

As she walked up the few steps to the locked door she heard the unmistakable sound of a sword being drawn. The man's face was twisted with menace and he backed her up to the wall with the sharp point of his now-drawn sword.

"Thank you milady. We wondered where the Captains were holding their bribe money. Now be so kind as to unlock the door, or I'll be forced to take the key from your corpse."
