The sweet air near the stigma was awash in barely visible spores. Noori breathed more and more of them in as the seconds went by. Eventually the creature let her go and she collapsed in the grass, her head swimming. The world around her seemed to slow down, blades of grass swinging in slow motion from the breeze. Details grew crystal clear before her eyes, dewdrops shone with unnatural brilliance. A part of her mind wondered what was happening to her as the creature stood near by watching over her. From an incredible distance she seemed to hear it say "Noooooorrrrriiiii."
