A forth image from a previous project. This piece showing the view across the main game world from the entrance of the "Earth World" towards the Mountain of the Fire Dungeons. Colour and feel for the world was the main objective of this piece.Photoshop CS - Wacom Tablet

First thing that came to mind was how this was similar to Lord of the Rings: Return of the King movie setting. Especially the little city and the dark mountains.

Beautisful concept peice. I would love to see this game, the concept worlds look so awesome. I love all the detail you've put in, it's a great touch but not distracting and over bearing, a + in my book. lol Also i love who the earth would is so bright and lush, it looks soft and inviting, and the fire dungons look dead and sharp and just very scray. unwelcoming. ^_^;; Awesome contrast of moods, i hope that's what you were aiming for, if so you hit the nail on the head, atleast for me. I like the city in there, it shows how massive the moutians are. i didn't relaise it untill i compared the two, wow, that things huge. O_O

Awesome work! It reminds me a bit of Lord of the Rings, where Gondor is right on the edge of Mordor. Except instead of the White City being large and imposing, you have Mt. Doom there being the massive figure.

As a picture I really like this. I like the contrast in light and and color tones. I like the contrast in texture between the hard rocky volcano and the almost watercolor-like feel of the clouds. I also like the view, and how you are looking out across a plane, and you can see the road and the city, and this huge-ass mountain with a serious lava issue plunked right next to it.
I really like the design of the mountain; the way the spikes are seem to poiny Up, rather than worn down as what is usually the case with mountains. It gives it a sort of character, like it decided to be there itself.
Maybe I'm reading to much into it. ^^ I guess it just tickles my fancy.
Makes me want to go out and paint landscapes.

Hey, I watch you for some time and I'm always interested in how artist works. I mean, which brush he/she uses to gain effect that can be seen on the end. I put your works with few other artists on my high shelf, and I would love to see next interesting tutorial if only you're not keeping your secrets with yourself. I'm learning Photoshop and I would love to know how you achieve paintings like this one and previous Fire Cave concepts, 'cause I would like to work in nearest future in this industry. Note: is it possible to achieve this kind of effects using not Wacom but Pentagram talet..? It's not as good, but can have similar final effects. I'm just curious on 'how to' in Shop... And if it isn't any problem for you.
