Description
Tristan's back, but this time he's countering the IoT-obsessed culture by focusing on the world around him instead of the world in cyberspace.I found myself listening to more Y2K oriented Jungle playlists again, and I whipped this out. That slogan took like 2 hours of half-heartedly brainstorming something that conveys a sort of utopic internet connection that focuses on the lack of said connectedness. Love the perspective on this one, the worms eye view and vanishing points came out really well. Also, I wasn't a coward this time and shaded with pressure dynamics on. Had to re-learn on how to angle my 'light source' on Tristan to get more probable clothing folds.
Studied Y2K adverts to get the look down, and not the internet Y2K aesthetic where everything's Web 1.0 and pink and glittery. Maybe one day I'll get blender enough to get 3D rendered shapes to throw in and make it more 'Y2K sophisticated'. If only I dedicated more time replicating the metal-heart aesthetic.
Adjusted Tristan's accessories compared to last time, had the suspenders of uselessness on my mind, as well as those wraparound sunglasses. Added a cool mercuryBlob watch because asymmetrical design for the sake of being unique is always cool.
