I'm a sentimental fool -- a couple of years ago, I was dating someone in DC -- I live in NYC.
We would often meet on weekends in Philly -- the closest to a halfway point we had. So much happened there, and because it happened in short bursts, different seasons, it was like a movie.
I would take the train, or the bus down there. Even passing it when I would go down to DC my heart would leap, a smile would cross my face. It was someplace special.
It ended badly, but I still had the same reaction looking at this photo. The city has a piece of my heart, and always will.
