“I have to… Fight… I have to fight for Jon!” Jay mustered his strength, what was left of it, and screeched as hard as he could. “SUPERMAN!”
The attempt made Bendix angry. Jay received a tonne more of electrocution pain all over his smothered body. “How dare you fight me! Obey me at once, Slave Boy!”
In his despair, he heard a familiar sound. It was the sound of the sound barrier breaking close. Jay gasped just before his lair ceiling collapsed.
“What?!” blurted Bendix in his mental signal. He also witnessed the Kryptonian’s arrival. “Boost the signal! We gotta-”
The moment young Superman’s eyes glowed, the signal died. Jay Nakamura was freed from his torture. With his watery eyes, he saw his lover approaching and ripping the cocoon apart.
Jay sobbed. The silhouette of Jon was divine intervention. “Jon, thank you so much for coming…”
Jon Kent placed a finger on his lips. “Sshh, it’s okay. I’m here now.”
The relieved Jay wasn’t even aware that Superman grabbed both sides of his head. When he realized what was happening, the thing was already gagging his mouth. “Hurgh!”
