Bree can be an adorable cinnamon bun sometimes. I mean, he basically stated that his reasoning for being a kind and strong willed person is that he understands pain, loneliness, and isolation, but has came to the conclusion that means he just needs to make his life better and create something beautiful, finding beauty and joy in life.

Also, it is pretty much confirmed that Bree isn't really liked by humans, with only 4 humans ever treating him normally (Akyuu, random guy from Antigappy, Kosuzu, and Sakuya), and 3 of them Bree doesn't even know that well. On the flip side, Bree has gotten his head bashed with a plate by Futo, point blank Master Sparked at by Marisa (despite being influenced at the time, that is her genuine opinion of him.), beaten up by Reimu on a bribe, was shot at repeatedly by Payton, and punched by an SHA member. Also, most of his customers are humorously youkai.

EDIT 8-18-21: Just realized I made a timeline error, BreePuff's father died when he was 10, and he met Eiki and Komachi in the same year. Still, traumatic, though.
