A true gem from my childhood.. excelent animation, original storyline (slightly based on the bat universe but in a good way) radical characters with an admirable edge, an overall amazing product that never got the attention it deserves

exactly! i was also way to young to even understand english well enough but she indeed pose as man and led a double life which has never been seen in child cartoons with the exception maybe of sailor moon..

Ha! Yeah you're right. There was also one girl in the series who wanted to get with her/him. That always bothered me when I was kid, until latter I understood the implications. Sailor Moon was the only "mature anime" that was able to slide under the censorship radar too. Fun show, though.
