I had this little idea, that it might be nice to see in ID's a chibi of an artist and his/her favorite OC horsie as a plushie If you think alike here is the possibility for you to join to my idea ^^ - just download this lineart.

be creative - change everything you want in it - hairstyle, draw some clothes from your wardrobe, add boots and/or gloves. I drew some versions of eyes and lips for the good beginning. yes even you can redraw whole lineart, or create something similar with a plushie or with a herd of plushies 
don't have any equine OC? Maybe redraw horse into other animal - wolf, cat, seal, orca..? TIP about base colours
Let's say that you're going to paint hair and at the beginning you want to put base colour all on one layer. There is a simple way of doing it:
use magic wand (with option to select all layers) and select all area around the character, then select inside the face, horse, horse hairs and clothes and reverse selection. Then just modify the selection a bit (maybe resize it on 1px, and all hairs should be selected ^^

Will it work with MS Paint? I don't have Photoshop. Or is there a file that's compatible with MS Paint? Or a way I can convert it to a bmp. file?

I'm afraid it won't work well with Paint... you can always try to draw a lineart similar to mine all by your hand, I wouldn't mind that

The "reverse selection". I wanna select the hair, but I dont know how to do it

firstly select option for magic wand to select all layers. Then click somewhere on the background of drawing, nevermind where. It should create a selection of some part of the drawing, now use 'add selection' and click onside of the face - your selection should expand a little. Then click on clothes and maybe on some other parts of skin. Your selection should include everything except for hair. Then you should open 'selection' menu and find here 'reverse selection' tool... Please tell me if this description helped you somehow..
