I had this all nicely edited and nooooo, stupid DA posted the thing blank! So, this is part of my Comm Tech project for character and story concept and design. These are the final designs of these characters and the info below is all official and final.

Note that the city names are based after our countries. In this world, the humans all live on the same piece of land which is about the size of the continent North America. Each city has the same culture as their respective country of old, though the times they are based upon vary. For example, England has taken to their culture of the 17th century while America is based in a more 23rd century. Despite this, every city does have their own bit of technology, though there are some that have the minimum of communication between cities and nothing more. There are only approximately 400 million humans remaining on the Earth. The rest of the world is overrun by Demons and is too dangerous to live in.

The year is 2256, however the year they go by is year 251; 251 years since the demons took over.

Part 1

Name: Damien Isaac Knight

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Species: Artificial Half-Demon

Birthplace: England

Personality: He’s a relatively happy and chipper person, even when upset. He hates the idea of burdening others with his problems and hides his emotions from others. He’s the most supportive member of the group and has a strong sense of morality. With the exception of demons, he cannot sit back and watch someone die, even his enemies.

Warrior Type & Weapon: A Knight wielding an Arming Sword *called Shadow Slayer.

*All weapons, spells, and special attacks have names. You must call out the name of what you are summoning, otherwise it won’t work.

Attire: When he begins his journey, he abandons his English outfit for travelers clothing. The material of his outfit is sturdy, yet flexible. The black, single sleeved undershirt gives extra protection to his right arm and reduces the strain on the muscles when he uses his sword. His coat and gauntlets are more stiff and sturdy, giving more protection. His boots are thick and made to keep out cold and wet and keep in warmth. His pouch is where he keeps his Blood Stone. The ribbon around his waist is his old neck tie given to him by his brother, Daniel.

Blood Armour: He possesses no Blood Armour.

Brief History: Damien was born and raised in the city of England; as such, he is unfamiliar with advanced technology. His father was the lead scientist in the research of Demons while his mother was a well-respected doctor, giving him and his older brother Daniel a comfortable life. He did not let this make him soft however as he trained hard to be a strong Knight and was often considered the strongest Knight in England’s academy.

After his father, Charles, revealed himself to be a human traitor (after injecting Damien with *demon blood) he and Daniel fled the now ruined England. Though he was saved from the full effects of the foreign blood, (thanks to Lilith and the small village) he still gained slightly pointed ears as well as the potential to use special energy with his sword, a trait that many half-demons have. After being trained by Lilith (an Artificial Half-Demon like himself) for a month, the village came under attack by a horde of demons. It was then that Daniel is mortally wounded and taken, making Damien and Lilith leave on a search for his missing brother.

*Demon blood is mixed with other chemicals and injected in Blood Warriors so create artificial half-demons. This is very illegal.

Name: Lilith Nodin

Age: Approx. 17

Gender: Female

Species: Half-Demon

Birthplace: Unknown. She grew up in a small, unnamed village close to England since she was a young child.

Personality: As a child, she was very reserved and quite, preferring to stay away from people. However as she got older and stronger, she began to develop a much louder and cocky attitude. She became very blunt and sarcastic, but still kind hearted and caring for others.

Warrior Type & Weapon: An Archer wielding a *Bladed Compound Bow called Sharp Shooter.

*Archers are considered the strongest type of Blood Warrior as they are a combination of a Knight and Mage. Their bow is bladed, used for close combat, and uses a magic string while the arrows, used for distance, are summoned magic. While most Archers use blood to summon both their bows and their arrows, Half-Demon Archers (such as Lilith) use their Demon Energy to summon arrows without the use of blood. However, this technique cannot be used with powerful spells.

Attire: Lilith’s outfit is considered travelers clothing as it does not match the clothing style of any named city. Because she is mainly a distance fighter, she does not feel the need to wear heavy and sturdy clothing. Instead, her clothing is relatively thin and light, allowing her more agility and speed. However, this greatly reduces her defense and makes her very weak in close combat, as well as cold in low temperatures.

Blood Armour: Despite her clothing being red-tinted, it is not Blood Armour.

Brief History: Lilith has amnesia of her childhood due to trauma. As a young child she, along with dozens of other children, was taken for experimentation purposes by people like Charles Knight. As a result, she became one of the first successful Artificial Half-Demons. However, the children would not become obedient like they were supposed to and were scattered and abandoned. She was soon rescued by a small village and raised by the villagers. Her skills were honed with the assistance of other Half-Demons and the village elder, the only Archer in the village.

Name:Charlotte

Age: She has no actual age, but is considered to be a *‘kitten’.

*Pure Demons do not typically keep track of their ages with numbers. Instead, they refer their age as two different terms, depending on their species. For example, since Charlotte is a feline she would refer to her age as ‘kitten’ and later ‘cat’. The second term is used when they are fully grown. Since they do not grow old and die of age, their final stage in growth keeps the appearance of a young adult. This makes it difficult to tell a Pure Demons age and, along with their white colour, earns them the title of ‘most beautiful creatures’.

Gender: Female

Species: Pure Demon (feline)

Birthplace: *Junsui Village, a small village on the outskirts of Japan for Pure Demons.

*All Pure Demon villages are called Pure or Purity, but are translated into the closest cities respective native language. Japans is named Junsui, Frances is named Pureté, etc.

Personality: Charlotte is a very happy-go-lucky individual. She always tries to look on the bright side of things and is usually the one to cheer everyone up. Because of this, she never gives up on anything, whether it be her friends or battle.

Warrior Type & Weapon: *Healing Demon Magic. She is capable of Combat Magic, but chooses not to practice it.

*A Demons Healing magic is not permanent on humans. This means that Charlotte can heal Damien and Lilith just fine, but cannot do the same for Alexander. She can provide it temporarily, but he would need to seek medical aid from a city or village for permanent medical treatment.

Attire: She wears the traditional clothing of a Japanese Pure Demon. The cloth provides a boost to her magic capability, speed, and agility, but provides little defense. Because of this, she is quite useless in battle, aside from her healing abilities.

Blood Armour: She cannot equip Blood Armour as she is not a Blood Warrior.

Brief History: Charlotte was born and raised in peace. Due to her physical fragility, she was trained in the art of Healing Magic. Her village was attacked by Demons and the villagers scattered. While on her own, she became a target for the Demon Hunter known as The Black Knight. She was soon saved by two travelers named Damien and Lilith. Shortly after her rescue, she befriended them both and joined them on their quest.

Name: Alexander Tsuyoshi

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Birthplace: Japan

Personality: Being born and raised in Japan, Alexander has a very hard-core personality and doesn’t share his emotions, thinking that doing so would make him weak. His social skills are greatly lacking and he tends to be very blunt with people. Though his heart is in the right place, his slow thinking can sometimes get him into trouble.

Warrior Type & Weapon: A Knight wielding a wide bladed Two-Hand Claymore called Night Slasher. He also has a second Blood Stone, his late sister’s gem which allows him to use *magic as well.

*Talented Warriors can sometimes use more than one Blood Stone. The second gem can only be obtained through the passing of the original wielder and allows them to use its power. The stronger the bond between the two people, the easier it is to use the stone.

Attire: Though it is considered travelers clothing, his outfit closely resembles the style of Japanese Warriors, despite his feelings towards Japan. Because he wields a large blade, his clothing is quite light, allowing him quick movement.

Blood Armour: His coat grants him a *boost in his defense, which makes up for lack of protective gear. He also has a sword **sheath.

*Blood Armour is a special armour that gives the Warrior special boosts to their combat. These can vary from strength, speed, magic, and more.

**The sheath is an item not used by many Knights as it is expensive and difficult to make. It requires a large amount of the person’s blood to craft and is usually only made if the person is greatly wounded or willing to give a large quantity of blood. It allows the user to summon their weapon without blood and reduces the risk of losing their gem. For travelers, it’s a good way to show off their skill and money, which can help them land more jobs.

Brief History: Alexander is the son of Takeo Tsuyoshi, a famously powerful Knight who is well respected in Japan and the Asian area. Takeo bore many children, most of them being daughters. He had wanted to bare a son that could grow to be as strong a Knight as himself. Alexander, originally named Takeo II, is his sixth child and heir to his father’s legacy. His closest and only friend was his younger sister named Atsuko who was born a Mage. Takeo *ruthlessly trained him every day, so the only thing he looked forward to was the time he spent with her.

When they were about 11, Japan was attacked by demons. Though they were driven off, many Japanese warriors and civilians were killed, including Atsuko. When his father showed no concern with losing his youngest daughter, he began to question the ways of **Japan, resulting in him taking Atsuko’s gem and leaving. He changed his name to Alexander and dropped his last name; abandoning his Japanese heritage and choosing a name reflecting his ***goal in his new life. Using the skills he learned from his father as well as his sister’s Blood Stone, he became a strong and well known Demon Slayer. His black hair and sword, as well as his dark demeanor earned him the nickname The Dark Knight.

While hunting down ****Charlotte he was stopped by Damien and Lilith. Since they were technically Half-Demons, he wished to slay them as well. This resulted in the three becoming enemies of him. It wasn’t until later, when Damien saved Alex’s life due to his own morals, that he realized they weren’t evil. He then joined them, wishing to learn the truth behind everything he had been taught about demons and humans alike.

*He was injured so bad one time that went blind in his right along with a scar. That’s why he covers his right eye with hair.

**This worlds Japan is one of the largest cities and is considered the powerhouse of humanity. However, this is because of cruel conditions. Children born with Blood Stones are trained ruthlessly while children without are either used as slaves or abandoned altogether. The city is known for warriors that care more about money and status rather than protecting what little of humanity remains.

***Alexander means ‘defender of mankind’. This is the name he chose because his goal is to kill every demon he comes across.

****He went after Charlotte because he was taught in Japan that Pure Demons were traitors. Therefore, he didn’t know better until meeting Damien and Lilith.

Part 2

Name: Damien Isaac Knight

Age: 20

Personality: He’s calmed considerably over the years, hardly ever losing his cool and rarely getting angry. He still keeps his emotions to himself, but more so now than before. He tends to stay away from people, but the people he does meet he will fight tooth-and-nail to protect. Despite all this, his kind heart still remains and is one of his most famously known attributes.

Attire: He still wears a travelers outfit, but much more advanced than his old one. Because he travels year ‘round, his uniform leaves no exposed skin for extra warmth and protection against weather and battle. Since he chooses to be lightweight, he has no sheath and instead keeps his gem clipped to the meet point of his chest straps.

Blood Armour: Since he spends hardly any time in town, and his focus being to be stronger, his money is mostly spent on BA; straps are extremely strong and are unbreakable, shirt provides a great boost in defense, pants have a boost to defense and minor boost in speed, boots give a great boost in speed and leg strength, and the gloves give a boost in strength and allow him to summon his sword without drawing fresh blood.

4 Years Later: Having left the group after the devastating events of part 1, he spent the first year hunting down the four Goddess Stones. After a full year of no luck, he discovers that he cannot accomplish what he wanted with them anyway and gave up his search. He them spent the next three years getting stronger and taking on many *jobs. He gained the reputation of being a strong, yet kind hearted **Demon Slayer, something that had become quite rare.

*Since Demon Slayers are mostly travelers, people ask for special assistance. There’s a special building in every major city where Demon Slayers, both individual and in groups, wait for someone to go in and ask for assistance. The person in need is to choose who they want help from, and the Slayers are not allowed to influence their decision. The choice will be made depending on the difficulty of the job. Most people make their decision based on how much BA the Slayers own (or how much they lack), their Warrior type, the number in the group, the demeanor of the individual, and their reputation. For long lasting jobs (which are typically extremely difficult) there are postings that can be made. No one is assigned to any building, every Slayer is welcome.

**Traveling Warriors who take on jobs are typically referred to as Demon Slayers. This is because their main focus is eliminating Demons despite the fact that some jobs don’t concern demons at all.

Name: Lilith Nodin

Age: Approx. 21

Personality: As she meets more people, her social graces begin to improve. She’s more considerate of other people’s feelings and is much more modest overall. She develops a more kind-hearted, maternal personality while keeping her sarcasm and blunt honesty.

Attire: Completely changing her image, Lilith now wears an outfit that closer resembles a Demon Slayers. She also gives the attempt of looking more appealing; growing out her hair and choosing to wear some white instead of all black. This is to help stand out in a crowd and attract more jobs, a common technique used by Slayers.

Blood Armour: Since she does both range and close combat, she now has a BA ‘dress’ that gives a great boost in defense, her gloves allow her to summon her bow without drawing fresh blood and gives a slight boost in her strength and magic, and her stockings give a boost in speed.

4 Years Later: After the events of the end of part 1, Lilith is left emotionally distraught. It isn’t for a few months that she is able to force herself to work, and it isn’t for another year that she’s able to act anything like herself. She eventually took over as group leader and filled in Damien’s front lines role by getting trained in close combat. The group took a year to build their strength, focusing the last two years on finding the *Goddess Gems in order to vanquish the demons, a common goal for Demon Slayers. More than anything, she wanted revenge against Charles and Akuma for what they had done.

*The Goddess Gems grant wishes to those that find them. There are said to be four in total, the more you have the bigger the wish, but disappear as soon as your wish is fulfilled. If all four can be collected, legend says they will grant the user anything they desire. Whether or not this is true is unknown, but it has been proven that they do exist.

Name: Charlotte

Age: ‘Cat’

Personality: She keeps her chipper personality, but better understands when to be happy and when she needs a serious state of mind. Since she learned combat magic, she’s become less dependent of others and more willing to fight for her friends protection.

Attire: She ditches her traditional Japanese PD clothing and changes for Travelers clothing often worn by Pure Demons. This type of clothing is purely meant to show off Pure Demons in order to gain more jobs and popularity. This is because pure demons cannot die from injury. Despite this, Lilith and Alexander made sure to get clothing that would provide her protection and give a boost in her magic.

Blood Armour: Since she isn’t a Blood Warrior wearing BA would do nothing for her. However, she is wearing some special clothing that helps boost PD abilities; her dress boosts her magic and her boots boosts speed and agility.

4 Years Later: Charlotte remained the go-lucky member of the group, despite having to fake her happiness for the first few months. Eventually the entire team recovered and began working again. While waiting for a job in a Job Hall, the notorious Slayer group called Blood Bath pointed out that Charlotte’s outfit made her look weak and unappealing, unlike their teams’ Pure Demon. Despite the encouraging words of Lilith and Alexander, Charlotte decided it was time to change her appearance. They acquired Slayer clothing for her, but since Lilith and Alexander despised the idea of objectifying Charlotte, they got her special clothing and combat training. For the last two years, she was able to use magic for both combat and healing.

Name: Alexander Tsuyoshi

Age: 22

Personality: Like Lilith, his social skills have greatly improved. He’s realized that smiling and showing emotion does not mean weakness and has become much more open. His caring personality is much more dominant, though he still isn’t the most skilled when it comes to talking with people.

Attire: Completely ditching his Japanese heritage, Alex sold his old BA coat for a new one, and switched up the rest of his clothing. Trying to keep to his nickname of The Black Knight, he stayed with his dark colour scheme.

Blood Armour: He sold his old coat and bought a BA Flame Coat which boosts his defense and fire magic. Since he is the tank of the group, his shirt gives him a major boost in defense while his boots a boost in speed. This allows him fight at the front easier and without being too dependent on others for back-up.

4 Years Later: The end of part 1 left him with opened old wounds, and like Lilith was finding things difficult to bear. It was mainly Charlotte’s encouragement that helped him (and eventually Lilith) get the strength to work. For the first few months, Alex took on jobs on his own for money to live off of while Charlotte would stay with Lilith. He slowly began to be more emotionally supportive for his friends and became more open. After a year of working together and relying heavily on each other, he lost his dark and hard core demeanor and became more open overall.

His black hair and sword, as well as his dark demeanor earned him the nickname The Dark Knight.

While hunting down ****Charlotte he was stopped by Damien and Lilith. Since they were technically Half-Demons, he wished to slay them as well. This resulted in the three becoming enemies of him. It wasn’t until later, when Damien saved Alex’s life due to his own morals, that he realized they weren’t evil. He then joined them, wishing to learn the truth behind everything he had been taught about demons and humans alike.

*He was injured so bad one time that went blind in his right along with a scar. That’s why he covers his right eye with hair.

**This worlds Japan is one of the largest cities and is considered the powerhouse of humanity. However, this is because of cruel conditions. Children born with Blood Stones are trained ruthlessly while children without are either used as slaves or abandoned altogether. The city is known for warriors that care more about money and status rather than protecting what little of humanity remains.

***Alexander means ‘defender of mankind’. This is the name he chose because his goal is to kill every demon he comes across.

****He went after Charlotte because he was taught in Japan that Pure Demons were traitors. Therefore, he didn’t know better until meeting Damien and Lilith.

Part 2

Name: Damien Isaac Knight

Age: 20

Personality: He’s calmed considerably over the years, hardly ever losing his cool and rarely getting angry. He still keeps his emotions to himself, but more so now than before. He tends to stay away from people, but the people he does meet he will fight tooth-and-nail to protect. Despite all this, his kind heart still remains and is one of his most famously known attributes.

Attire: He still wears a travelers outfit, but much more advanced than his old one. Because he travels year ‘round, his uniform leaves no exposed skin for extra warmth and protection against weather and battle. Since he chooses to be lightweight, he has no sheath and instead keeps his gem clipped to the meet point of his chest straps.

Blood Armour: Since he spends hardly any time in town, and his focus being to be stronger, his money is mostly spent on BA; straps are extremely strong and are unbreakable, shirt provides a great boost in defense, pants have a boost to defense and minor boost in speed, boots give a great boost in speed and leg strength, and the gloves give a boost in strength and allow him to summon his sword without drawing fresh blood.

4 Years Later: Having left the group after the devastating events of part 1, he spent the first year hunting down the four Goddess Stones. After a full year of no luck, he discovers that he cannot accomplish what he wanted with them anyway and gave up his search. He them spent the next three years getting stronger and taking on many *jobs. He gained the reputation of being a strong, yet kind hearted **Demon Slayer, something that had become quite rare.

*Since Demon Slayers are mostly travelers, people ask for special assistance. There’s a special building in every major city where Demon Slayers, both individual and in groups, wait for someone to go in and ask for assistance. The person in need is to choose who they want help from, and the Slayers are not allowed to influence their decision. The choice will be made depending on the difficulty of the job. Most people make their decision based on how much BA the Slayers own (or how much they lack), their Warrior type, the number in the group, the demeanor of the individual, and their reputation. For long lasting jobs (which are typically extremely difficult) there are postings that can be made. No one is assigned to any building, every Slayer is welcome.

**Traveling Warriors who take on jobs are typically referred to as Demon Slayers. This is because their main focus is eliminating Demons despite the fact that some jobs don’t concern demons at all.

Name: Lilith Nodin

Age: Approx. 21

Personality: As she meets more people, her social graces begin to improve. She’s more considerate of other people’s feelings and is much more modest overall. She develops a more kind-hearted, maternal personality while keeping her sarcasm and blunt honesty.

Attire: Completely changing her image, Lilith now wears an outfit that closer resembles a Demon Slayers. She also gives the attempt of looking more appealing; growing out her hair and choosing to wear some white instead of all black. This is to help stand out in a crowd and attract more jobs, a common technique used by Slayers.

Blood Armour: Since she does both range and close combat, she now has a BA ‘dress’ that gives a great boost in defense, her gloves allow her to summon her bow without drawing fresh blood and gives a slight boost in her strength and magic, and her stockings give a boost in speed.

4 Years Later: After the events of the end of part 1, Lilith is left emotionally distraught. It isn’t for a few months that she is able to force herself to work, and it isn’t for another year that she’s able to act anything like herself. She eventually took over as group leader and filled in Damien’s front lines role by getting trained in close combat. The group took a year to build their strength, focusing the last two years on finding the *Goddess Gems in order to vanquish the demons, a common goal for Demon Slayers. More than anything, she wanted revenge against Charles and Akuma for what they had done.

*The Goddess Gems grant wishes to those that find them. There are said to be four in total, the more you have the bigger the wish, but disappear as soon as your wish is fulfilled. If all four can be collected, legend says they will grant the user anything they desire. Whether or not this is true is unknown, but it has been proven that they do exist.

Name: Charlotte

Age: ‘Cat’

Personality: She keeps her chipper personality, but better understands when to be happy and when she needs a serious state of mind. Since she learned combat magic, she’s become less dependent of others and more willing to fight for her friends protection.

Attire: She ditches her traditional Japanese PD clothing and changes for Travelers clothing often worn by Pure Demons. This type of clothing is purely meant to show off Pure Demons in order to gain more jobs and popularity. This is because pure demons cannot die from injury. Despite this, Lilith and Alexander made sure to get clothing that would provide her protection and give a boost in her magic.

Blood Armour: Since she isn’t a Blood Warrior wearing BA would do nothing for her. However, she is wearing some special clothing that helps boost PD abilities; her dress boosts her magic and her boots boosts speed and agility.

4 Years Later: Charlotte remained the go-lucky member of the group, despite having to fake her happiness for the first few months. Eventually the entire team recovered and began working again. While waiting for a job in a Job Hall, the notorious Slayer group called Blood Bath pointed out that Charlotte’s outfit made her look weak and unappealing, unlike their teams’ Pure Demon. Despite the encouraging words of Lilith and Alexander, Charlotte decided it was time to change her appearance. They acquired Slayer clothing for her, but since Lilith and Alexander despised the idea of objectifying Charlotte, they got her special clothing and combat training. For the last two years, she was able to use magic for both combat and healing.

Name: Alexander Tsuyoshi

Age: 22

Personality: Like Lilith, his social skills have greatly improved. He’s realized that smiling and showing emotion does not mean weakness and has become much more open. His caring personality is much more dominant, though he still isn’t the most skilled when it comes to talking with people.

Attire: Completely ditching his Japanese heritage, Alex sold his old BA coat for a new one, and switched up the rest of his clothing. Trying to keep to his nickname of The Black Knight, he stayed with his dark colour scheme.

Blood Armour: He sold his old coat and bought a BA Flame Coat which boosts his defense and fire magic. Since he is the tank of the group, his shirt gives him a major boost in defense while his boots a boost in speed. This allows him fight at the front easier and without being too dependent on others for back-up.

4 Years Later: The end of part 1 left him with opened old wounds, and like Lilith was finding things difficult to bear. It was mainly Charlotte’s encouragement that helped him (and eventually Lilith) get the strength to work. For the first few months, Alex took on jobs on his own for money to live off of while Charlotte would stay with Lilith. He slowly began to be more emotionally supportive for his friends and became more open. After a year of working together and relying heavily on each other, he lost his dark and hard core demeanor and became more open overall.
