This has been a long, long time coming. For those who are unfamiliar, here's a bit of history:

Way back in 2015/16, I became fully acquainted with Five Night's at Freddy's. I watched all the videos on Game Theory, got engrossed with Markiplier's playthroughs; and of course indulged in crummy SFM animations and shipping content. Eventually, I knew I had to make an OC for FNAF; I had made several for My Little Pony at that point, so it made sense to do the same again. Because I was obsessed with birds, I made my character a bird. Seeing that the only bird character in the franchise is Chica and all of her variants, I based my character's design off of Toy Chica. sta.sh/01bfm80gh2pz

Since she was basically my self-insert, I named her 'Roa', abbreviated from my username. The weird part comes from her original backstory. From what I remember, my main self-insert, A.G. decides to go back in time to the 1987 location and becomes the nightguard there (as you do). When she realizes the danger she's in, she decides to make an animatronic disguise with the help of her poorly defined magic abilities. As Roa, she is accepted by the animatronics who see her as one of them. She especially becomes good friends with The Puppet and Golden Freddy. When 6AM approaches, A.G. decides one night was enough for her and returns to the present. Before she does so, however, she manifests Roa into her own being with the memories of the night still intact. That way, the others would still have their friend. Afterwards, some weird time space stuff happens (I'm not sure either), resulting in all the animatronics getting teleported to this random beach house in New Zealand. They live there from that point on, and sometimes some new friends got sent to the house as well. Which is how Springtrap ended up being a part of the story later on. Yes, I shipped Roa with Springtrap, I don't like talking about it, but I need to mention it at least once. To be fair, I treated Springtrap and Afton (who was originally named Vincent Sanders, yes it was Rebornica) as separate characters; so Springtrap was more like withered Springbonnie than anything.

After defeating Purple Guy with the power of love (yes, really), the story would have continued with the introduction of the Funtime animatronics, Circus Baby being the new villain and wanting to get rid of Roa by shoving her into another time/space wormhole; the wormhole would've taken Roa back to the days of Fredbear's Family Diner, where becomes a part of the show while she tries to figure out how to get back to the present. But shortly after the release of Sister Location, my love for FNAF started to fizzle out. I can't tell you why it did, but I stopped making fan art and fanfics for FNAF and moved on to other things.

Briefly in 2020, I randomly decided to give Roa a redesign. Bear in mind, at the time I had no interest in returning to FNAF; I actually considered reworking her into a more original character that would've been part of a new story and premise. Fast forward to 2022, when I gradually returned to FNAF; mainly due to nostalgia, my sister's obsession with Sun and Moon, and a need to finish what I had started all those years ago. After redesigning my other character, Cinnamon, I new I would have to tackle redesigning Roa a second time. But I wanted to be more thoughtful with it, especially since I intended to rework the character as being an animatronic from the Fredbear's era. So, I pulled references from Withered Chica as well as two versions of Helen Henny from the Chuck E. Cheese franchise. I also added in new flairs, such as her tail and flowing blue hair, instead of a jagged fringe that went over her eyes. While she is a massive departure from where she began, I love this new version of her and I can't wait to properly integrate her into my Bearclaws storyline.
