Personality and Background:
Limbo was born from a rather unfortunate meeting between Twilight and Tirek. Twilight decided not to abort the child but to love him and raise him as her own, and never ever let Tirek anywhere near her or her son.

Limbo inherited much of his mother's magical ability... and his father's. This dangerous blend makes it difficult for him to control it, and it often bursts out without warning. Due to these flares of magic, he refuses to use magic at all if possible, as something as simple as levitation could snowball out of control. Unfortunately, this repression of magic only leads to more outbursts, which leads to a larger fear of learning to control it, and even more repression. Twilight has tried everything she knows to be able to help him, but nothing ever seems to work.

Limbo has a lot to live up to, his mother being one of Equestria's greatest heroes, and his father being one of its most infamous villains. He's always trying to live up to his mother, and the thought of being anything like Tirek sends him into a panic. He wants to be good enough for everyone; a good heir, a good son, and a good friend.
