making Yin look more cartoon-ish as an actual character design for the app/game ( pretty excited about this! )the first thought i had as a viewer "hey don't ya judge me black demon!" D: used paint tool sai and photoshop.

Nice use of simple brush strokes. The shapes are somewhat muted, yet distinguishable enough that the form of the character is understood. I also like the blurred edges and the design of the cat, as well as the eyes, which make an impression. Nice work!
