If you’ve tried letting someone know that you’re on your way with a quick omw text on an iPhone, you were probably surprised to see the abbreviation autocorrect to ‘on my way’ with an explanation point. This is caused a lot of frustration. Since people who typically abbreviate their messages don’t want to sound that enthusiastic about something so mundane. Plus, other text abbreviations like lol or smh don’t autocorrect to ‘laughing out loud’ or ‘shaking my head.’
