the shading on the face is nice but those NECK TENDONS wowza. the shading is a little harsh and it makes their neck look kind of emaciated!

I don't even know how to blend the colours in a way that they look good and realistic
When I do this it all looks messed up and shitty :/
Could also be because I don't have a Wacom but a no-name pad.... but I think it's more that I don't know how to do this blending stuff.
I really like this tutorial, but maybe you should do a tutorial-sheet that explains how to colour-blend and how to set shadings and highlights.

This is actually what many serious tutorials are actually like. "Just begin painting highlights and shadows". "Now blend them until the skin looks realistic". Yeah, not that easy for the rest of us Rembrandt.
