Wow. I really like the concept behind this piece and the way it was executed. The contrast between the snow and the dark, gloomy colours used for the girl's clothing and the incorporation of the crows really strengthen the image. The same goes for the cracks in the old tree that seem to resemble the perhaps broken or withering state of the character here.
The emphasis of the black and 'white' (muted tones) really brings out the dark, depressing feel of the picture. Usually, when I think of white and snow I think of purity, or of a "cleansing/rebirth". When winter passes and spring comes, it is a new beginning... But the dark contrast here makes the snow seem very bleak, almost like an ending.
The flocking of the crows takes away from the purity and innocence of the whiteness around her, and her dark clothing bring down the mood even further.
Hmm, I like the way you drew the chord from the heart and left certain parts 'dripping' almost like an overused robe. It really brings this feeling of exhaustion and hardship.
This image really speaks, and its execution was well-thought out and very strong.

Looking through the comments of this work, I can't help but see that no matter what I say, it will have been said before. But I always like to leave a comment on art I love ^^
The composition is perfectly balanced- my rather untrained eye sees absolutely nothing out of place. You captured the mood perfectly- the dull color lends a very depressing tone to the piece, and works perfectly with the heart on the ground. Also, the crows were a perfect choice, considering all the symbolism attached to them

I love the texture of the crows' wings in contrast to Olivia. The only thing I'm not dropdead in awe of is the tree- it seems so deeply textured like a rock. A beautiful, beautiful thing.
