FACEBOOK FANPAGE | TUMBLR | TWITTERDaphne asked her way,
The plane came unhooked,
And, she left the well,
Then she have begun to follow it...
I wanted to draw something for the birthday of
She is really nice with me, she is so understanding and she is so old now ;3
and as you know, I wouldn't be able to write the fable of the giraffe without her.
So, as you can see, I tried another "style", not really different, but I tried "to suggest" instead of "to impose" my ideas. I don't know if you think it's a good choice, but I wanted to try, and I did it :]
The character on this drawing is Daphne. Two weeks ago I drew , the first drawing of the serie .
Software: Photoshop 7
Time: 26 hours
Tools: Mouse + right hand and left hand + head+ eyes... :]

It's very gorgeous, very mysterious. Reminds me of Spirted Away, I guess in the sense that it's a child in a strange place, sort of adventuring. Also reminds me of a child's dream. The building adds to the sense of naivete and mystery. Nice perspective there. Lovely colors . . . and of course, beautiful swirlies!

I really love your drawings. Almost all of them a full of a dream-like atmosphere --- the colorful dreams we have lost when we outgrow our childhood... Just like in a child's eye, the world is actually so fantasic, magical and colorful in your paintings! (And you do good, detailed and helpful tutorials too, thanks~~~~)

Beautiful piece! The colors and textures in this are wonderful... you have shown a great sense of atmosphere in a number of your works, it really draws a person in. I'm anxious to take a look at some of the "step by step" posts you've made and maybe get a better grasp at how you get that great texture digitally. Keep up the wonderful work!

Oh wow. This one is even more striking than the other. At least I find there are more subconscious undercurrents experienced in viewing it. It's more complex, I guess I mean to say. More dreamlike. I like all the little details too, the roots of vegetation to the right playing with the cracks in the masonry, the tilted signpost. The clouds and the fantastic structure here have a great overall effect on the eye too. And Daphne, half-emerging from the clouds chasing that elusive toy biplane. Whimsical and a little melancholy (the sense of striving for something out of reach). It's perfect. Another , why not?

Suggesting, as opposed to imposing, is a great way to open up the viewer to one's own creative story writing. Amen to your newtakening on presenting subject matter, and I think the duty arises in every kind of artist to do the same for music, film, sculpture, literature, etc. In my mind's eye, I see the cooperation of the winds (or amnesty with one of them) in creating a diversion at this huge city-thing of a house. The objective: help the maiden to escape undetected.
