What a lovely piece of art. It's a riot of color, textures and motion that paints a wonderful, magical scene that draws me in and makes me want to never leave. Your characters are charming, and I'd really like to know what wonders await them at the end of the trail. The dark horizon with that ominous, beak-like entity and the claw-like tree branches reaching down imply some kind of danger, but our two travelers don't seem to be particularly threatened, it's as if they've been given safe passage through the forest. There's a sweet innocence about the scene that I find very compelling, it would make a great illustration for a children's book.

This is just so beautiful. When you see this in full view, it really does make you feel that you are following them, following the children deep into the unkown darkness. The girl and her goat seem to know where they are going, and dont seem to fear the darkness. The whole picture seems to just pull you in, grip you by the hand, and wants to lead you, deeper in.
The trees and shurb came out so wonderfully done. I just adore the light that they give off!

Wow, thats really cool - looks like The Magic Faraway Tree or Narnia had some influence on the inspiration - this looks much more interesting though, I wouldn't mind reading the story behind it...
