He had heard the voice. The young man had called for help.

He had heard the voice yelling for help. He had turned to face the way the voice had come.

"Help!" had been the cry echoing through the woods. "Help me! Someone!"

"I am coming!" had been his reponse, "Where are you, young man?"

As he ran through the woods, dodging the taproots, and jogging around the trees, the voice seemed to echo all around.

"I am coming, where are you, tell me!" Dead silence answered him.

The foliage moving answered him. He turned to face the source of the noise. He realized the voice was a trap.

Shock in an instant turned to anger. Raising his axe and his buckler, his weapon shining in the dying light of the day creeping through the forest, the warrior turned to face the shaytaani hayvaan that had made its entry.

If this creature had killed the young man he was looking for, it will know his fury at the loss of this innocence.
