Description
At last, I've finished them! From left to right, in each line, they are:
Melpomene: the Muse of Tragedy. It was common to invoke her to get beautiful and dramatic phrases. Her emblem is the tragic mask, but she also wears a high belt and cothurnus, the boots worn by tragic actors.
Thalia: the Muse of Comedy. Her emblem is the comic mask (which always seemed kinda creepy to me) and the ivy wreath. She also wears boots. She was also considered the muse of idyllic poetry, so she must be an optimistic one
Euterpe: the Muse of Music, she plays many instruments, but her emblem is the aulos, a double-flute from Ancient Greece that she invented.
Clio: the Muse of History. She was the mother of Hyacinth, one of Apollo's lovers
Calliope: arguably the leader of the muses, she's the Muse of Epicness, I mean Epic poetry. She was Homer's muse, that says it all. She was also a lover of Ares and had many children with him not making Aphrodite angry or anything because, you know, Calliope is awesome
Urania: the Muse of Astronomy. Her emblems are the globe and the compass, but I forgot the compass and put many stars in her crown and cloak because I love stars. Also, she's the muse who protects philosophers.
Erato: the Muse of love and erotic poetry
Terpsichore: the Muse of Dance. I didn't like the classical depiction of her sitting down playing a lyre. I think the muse of dance should, you know, dance around
Polyhymnia: the Muse of Sacred hymns, poetry and eloquence. She wears a veil and is always shown meditative and serious. I think she should get to happy conclusions about life sometimes so here I gave her a smile
...so many different muses I'm so tired!

did you know that there was a competition between them & the sirens in music & songs. but when the muses won because of their graceful singing, the sirens where doomed to earth, exchanging their feathered wings to fish tails!! so they became mermaids!!

I really do!
I hardly see people draw Gods and Goddesses on here.
And your art is very pleasing to look at.
