Description Taken a while back while playing around with a torch at night with fuzzysteve and isonica.

We dropped a torch down a slide and took pictures with a slightly long exposure, and managed to capture the colours of the slide while the torch rolled down through it. This was probably the most interesting shot of them all, and I'd definitely like to try doing this again to get some better shots.

what a mad idea. very unique indeed. im glad you used a curved slide it makes it a lot more interesting. the light looks fantastic.

a light around the edge of the slide would look really cool as well i reckon. maybe get someone with a smaller torch to draw around the outside of it..

nice shot =c)

Very cool indeed, it almost looks like there is an explosion in an old retro wash basin. ::gets ideas:: Great idea!

Spiffmaster! Haha, I remember that night man.

We must have dropped that torch down the slide about 20 times at least!
We really should do another adventure. Maybe even to jesus land and the glaci............arium!

Nice capture though. Your death defying climb to the top of the playground to capture that one went well.

That's some major experimenting going around. And look at that budjet too: torch -- slide -- camera w/ long exposure.

Might as well have pulled out a full-motion movie while you're at it as well, right?

I think it looks great. The result is spiffy.

Very awesome exposure experiment, I am loving the full view very much. The combination of the slide and the torch lights almost look like a chunk of space glass or a laser in ice. Excellent photo man! ;D

The light blue parts almost look like a lighning or a plasma beam...

Some people would spend hours on drawing sth. like this but as a photography it's just beautiful....

Wow, what a nifty idea! You certainly got an interesting photo out of it.
It looks kind of like some bizzare, high-powered bottle rocket taking flight.. well it does to me anyway
I'd say deffinately go and take some more like this! Maybe take some lighter fluid and matches too, nothing says 'good photo' like a flaming slide!
