*4 days after White-Light Decimation*

*Many of Earth's residents are living underground to stay hidden from the alien's drones. Many of these underground residents are members of the Resistance. But thousands of people are bravely fighting on the surface in an endless encounter against the hostile, alien force, now known as Lacians. These brave men and women are known as "The Advocates", the right arm of the newly formed United Republic of Lyaeu (Pronounced Lee-ay-yu). They are the only thing that is keeping order on a planet overrun in chaos. Within those ranks are the 6 crew members who initially found the crystal. They are known as the "White Knights", as they protect many innocents and help them out however they can. That's how they got their nickname.

The entirety of Mankind are in this war, whether they wanted to or not. The enemy did not give them much choice. In many of the skirmishes with the Lacian forces, the Resistance and Advocates have taken heavy losses, while the Lacians have had relatively little trouble destroying the many human outposts sprawled among the remnants of the largest human cities, and those around them.

Fight or die had become a literal term.

On the rare chance that a Lacian falls, people take it upon themselves to protect that dead body from its comrades, in the hopes of capturing that body for the science teams to analyze and create countermeasures against the Lacians weaponry. Most times, they fail to capture the body so little progress has been made. With the little the science teams have to work with, they use to its full efficiency, hoping to make the most out of the little they have.

The science teams have made some progress in weaponry. Tested with machines, many of these test have ended in failure where results would have ended in the death of the user. To minimize the dependency of the light-weight, alien metal found on the weapons, the material is now called "Antium", scientist are creating pieces of weaponry with material common on Earth that could be compatible with the Lacians' Antium. Although the dependency of Antium has been minimized, the main component of the weapon, its Core, is only found inside of the weapon. As of right now, only 4 weapons have been created. The weapon was named "L95-Spearhead'Prototype'". These 4 weapons have been given to 4 of the 6 White Knights, those who are more "combat-oriented" such as Eth Loren and John Inle. The 2 without the prototype weapons, Ashton Markley and Eithe Cestaf, were promised to receive one as soon as more Cores were found. Instead the 2 have been given high-powered weapons to compensate.

The L95-Spearhead is light-weight, weighs 1.7 kg or about 3 pounds. Made of sleek, black material, about 99 cm in length. Mostly angular, the weapon has railings on the top and bottom, so attachments are options. Fires light particles, so the gun has no barrel and instead is partly open, revealing the core halfway through the length of the weapon. A material similar in properties to a mirror surrounded the core, focusing the light to a dangerous frequency. The rifle's stock was made of incredibly, durable plastic and shaped so it fit comfortably under the persons arm. The handle was also made of the same plastic and was spaced enough so that anybody using the weapon would be able to hold it comfortably. It fires light particles and has no recoil. The Core seems to have a rechargeable battery of some sort, even though it is particularly powerful. So in actuality, one could switch it to fully automatic, hold the trigger for about 4 days and wait for 1 hour for another 5000 bursts. Scientists are still trying to comprehend the amazing power held in just a small core.

The weapon itself was made to have 2 firing modes.
- Single-Fire ~ A single shot larger in size and more powerful than the Beam mode every time the trigger is pulled.
- Beam ~ As the name goes, holding the trigger makes the weapon fire a single straight beam.

With the Lacians, Resistance, The Advocates, The White Knights, and the United Republic of Lyaeu, the factors have been set in motion that will inevitably bring about the best and worst in people. This is their life. This, is their story.
