Going outside to see if there was anything interesting happening out there, BDE50C sat in the dewy grass and looked around. It was a nice morning with good temperatures and clear skies. Two mancakes were soaring elegantly in the morning breeze and the world around them seemed fresh and peaceful.
From behind a tree a staxie who BDE had never seen emerged. He was almost all one color and wore a shell on a string around his neck.
"Help?" The staxie asked calmly. BDE wasn't one to turn down help, especially to those who need it, though this stranger before him made him a bit weary.
"I lost my eggs. Can you help?" The stranger asked again, coming closer now.
"What's your name and maybe I will." BDE replied finally, standing up.
"My name's Smeak, I come here every spring." BDE believed the staxie; he'd been hearing about Smeak all month from various stumps, and even some adults who visited the stump house. Maybe they could trust this staxie after all.
"Sure, you have any idea where you last left them?" BDE50C asked, following Smeak away from the stump house and into the new day.

Finally getting around to posting this! I had finished this picture a while ago, but uploading stuff this month isn't really my priority. I'd love to have fun and participate in the events, but things have been pretty crummy for me. Who know's maybe I'll do it anyway.
On a lighter note, I really like this picture! I didn't spend super long on it, but I like the framing the colors a LOT! I think it's very pretty and peaceful! Smeak with shell necklace was my thing last year, and it continues here! I think he looks very cute with it! BDE50C is such a pretty baby, I love the colors and design, and they just make me happy to draw!
This is part 1 of the "Smeakled Eggs" quest, yippee!
