The atmospheric stalactites underneath the rock-solid cloud layer often break off, falling to the surface and crushing anything below.

Darkness obscures most of the landscape, where one can get hopelessly lost. Not even special eye gear can penetrate all of it. It also somehow absorbs sounds.

The ghostly howling of the winds here can make travelers go deaf from prolonged exposure. But first, they will negatively affect their mental health, driving them insane.

The ground can swallow you by giving away to sinkholes, which reseal themselves afterward. The holes are so deep that it takes days for victims to hit solid ground. The latter usually die of suffocation and dehydration.

A ghostly fog often surrounds the landscape. It is a colony of pseudo-corporeal entities which attack travelers, damaging their protective suits.

Spine-like pillars connect the surface and the cloud ceiling. Clusters of these structures produce fields that drain objects, for example, power armor, of energy.

"Dark Thrones" dot the landscape of this world, spewing out a vicious fluid, creating rivers. The pseudo-humanoid flows trap visitors in the rivers, putting them in a metabolic stasis. Victims can do nothing but either sink to the bottom or drift with the current while mentally still active.
