Description
This is a simple head tutorial. It's one of three parts. This is just the basic concept.
Tips to keep in mind
1. Make sure you use ovals for the heads , not circles , as they do not accurately represent the human skull.
2. Make sure to practice guidelines , to position the features of the face properly.
3. Use a pencil to mark out your proportion spaces. Kind of almost using it like a ruler.
4. Draw loosely but with confidence , long flowing strokes will help you do the head correctly.
5. The ears begin at the eyebrows and end at the bottom of the nose. Unless this person / character is highly stylized or has striking features. ( a good example is Jeffrey Jones.. he has almost a hawk-like apperance. )
6. Going out and drawing people walking around , and just studying the heads will provide a wealth of information.
With that i leave you , until i upload Head 02. Enjoy.

It's true that a circle is too round to represent the skull alone; however you can use circles when you another shape for the jaw.
