Looking good Adam! Values could use a major push especially in the foreground. The silhouette of the cat is a bit repetitive on the top side. Will you be adding any more color? I know that sometimes DA can be a bit lacking when it comes to the quality of displaying images so you might want to check this out on another computer to see if that makes a difference. Hope this helps! I'm gonna go check out that contest now, sounds like fun.

Thanks Dave! Always good to hear from you. I probably won't be adding color. I dappled around in it and ultimately liked it more in the monotone version (but maybe I just need more practice applying color to gray scale images). Do you have any suggestions or tips about how to correct for internet previews when saving from Photoshop? Maybe it's just my monitor, but things always look alright to me and then much darker and blown-out on other computers. Also, with the values, do you just mean more contrast? That was a major concern of mine. Maybe I'll go back and add some more depth with a foreground light source. The problem was the the whole thing was back-lit from the start (mostly to enhance the atmosphere) and it ended up killing some of the foreground detail.

yeah, that cintiq looks mighty shiny. Either way, it's a beautiful piece! Very different from the vibrant league colours (except when I'm dead, that is)
