Page 3 of my Nuzlocke comic!
Here the protagonist meets Professor Oak 4 reelz, as well as his rival Gary Oak, or DA JERK it would seem. Part of the fun of getting to name your rival is imagening how they'd react to the name you give them (I picked one that was insulting, yet not totally offensive). It seems DA JERK reacts to his name with mild annoyance. I wonder how long that will last.

And we also get to meet my starter, Bulbo. He's probably my favourite character in the story. He acts like a jerkass, but sometimes he's merely a rude dude who's still able to maintain a stable friendship. He's a genuine jerk with a heart of gold.

Bulbo and DA JERK's Charmander were made into rivals to match their masters. It seems they've been at each others throats since before the protagonist arrived. I like how the sixth panel shows their bitterness towards each other. Bulbo is flipping Charmander off, while Charmander is pointing angrily at Bulbo. The Squirtle in the middle is probably thinking to itself, "How the hell did I get stuck between these guys." Don't worry Squirtle, you'll probably never see either of them again.

Also, who was that girl in the last panel? Is she important to the story? Was she just a random passerby? Did I add her simply for fanservice reasons? Well, the answer for now is, I dunno.
