True much easier in the washing process lol .. washing brushes after painting with oil is the reason why I didn't paint for almost a year!

Oh I know! Such a pain! Yeah acrylic rocks. And if it dries on the pallet, you can just soak it and it'll come off.

True..true but I prefer the texture of oil as acrylic is a bit tricky If you add much water then it'll be watercolor!

Well done! Finally someone who dared paint this one traditionally. Awesome job! I love the wood on the gun.

Thank you! I'm actually surprised there hasn't been more traditional fan art from these films. I really wanted an honest portrait and when I did this, I'd never painted anything remotely as challenging. Turns out that you never know where your limits are unless you really push them!

Well again, fabulous job, I am glad you tried and succeeded so well There's quite a lot of traditional drawings from these films but rarely paintings (my personal favorites) I do wonder also what the difference might be, is it the medium or the personality behind the choice of medium? I do hope to see more of these from you

I see a lot of pencil sketches and drawings of these characters. Might just boil down to economics. Pencils are cheaper than paints! Simpler to use too.
Well thanks again! I think Tia Dalma is next.

Economics does make sense, I was blown away when I went to restock my paint and saw how much I had to pay!
Tia Dalma, I'm looking foreward to seeing it.

Lol thanks. They didn't take very long, but these four are the only paintings I've done in the past 8 yrs, heh. I should do more work. I'd love to get paid to paint. hehe

Uploaded the wrong image. The right one is up there now. Yes, I pretty much only work with acrylic.

Hrmm.. I've done 4 paintings since high school ('02), all of which I've put up.
They didn't take long. I just go for long periods without doing any artwork. I want to be more consistent in the future though.

That's good. You're developing your skills and learning what you need to do to produce something you like!

Very true. But sometimes i get to the point where if i don't get something im in love with on a canvas i lose it so i gotta take a break every once in a while.

Yeah I think it's really important to recharge between sessions, for me at least. You sound like you're really pounding away at this stuff fast. 15 paintings in a couple of weeks is really hard core! I think I'd start to lose my objectivity and my concentration...

Yeah, when i first started i had all these great ideas and they were coming out great and now its just starting to die out so i have to take a bit of a breather for a week or so and get my edge back
