Description
This render of the "King of All Monsters" Kaiju was what I saw as an improvement to "Gojira 1984" ("Godzilla 1985"). He's standing on a newly pushed up mucky sea bed in the middle of the South Pacific, which might be the sea bed where Cthulhu's primordial sunken cyclopsian city of R'lyeh lies mostly buried. R'lyeh is the prison of the "Great Old One" entity called Cthulhu.

In my drawing, executed with F/W inks, Dr. Martin inks, Prisma pencils and some acrylics, Gojira was peeling a 173 ton, nearly 330,000 pound blue whale like you or I would peel a banana. I think I quit work on it in 1993 after my Japanese associates in Kobe paid for me to stop and have it drum-scanned as-is in eight-color as it was. Gore Graphics was up to the job.

God bless Executive VP or Sales Larry Lemming, wherever he is now. Loved that guy. Is he in the ground?
