With Blender, I animated 14 frames (to GIF size keep small)

The gears spin just 90 degrees, but the the first frame follow the last frame, so illusion of non stop move was done ^^

very nice I am very happy with cycles. Trying to get a scene with natural looking light is ridiculous with blender render. I end up with like 30 lamps all over the place.
