When the asteroids fell, they cracked open and turned the sky green. It's not just any kind of green... It's a maddening, impossible color. Think of a cyan hue that's heavy and dark, but at the same time, blindingly bright. It affects those surrounded by it in horrible ways. Scientists will later coin the term as "Cyonic Madness", an affliction that turns humans into cryptids. Along with these asteroids came the assimilation angels, a terrible force of all-consuming unity. The particles that drive their existence were once intended for a harmonious universal evolution, but their protocols were corrupted by void creatures in space. Now they must seek, consume, and assimilate at all costs... despite the drowning wishes of the individual.
