When I originally saw Lockdown in the TF Animated episode "Thrill of the Hunt" I don't think his design so much appealed to me as much as his voice. I loved his voice ^^ XD kinda low-key, threatening, and dangerous all at once XDaaaanyway, I had originally grouped him under the Decepticons alter-egos (even though he's not really a Decepticon), but I decided I'd upload them seperately, so here he is.
Ehh, he turned out all right. I think he's got the record for the biggest jaw I've ever drawn on a character (so far) XDD

I don't think he has so much that "skeletal" look as before, which definitely adds some appeal

Keep in mind, even the skull look is just paint. Human beings even paint they're faces to get the punk look.

when I'm drawing the TF alter-egos, I always make sure I can imagine their original voices coming out of the picture. That's a way I can figure I've done it right.

Yeah, the voices add so much character that when the voice and the face don't match, it's a failure.

and sometimes it's not only that...I try to make sure the voices can match, their personality is very obviously seen in their expression, and that they "somewhat" look like their cartoon selves (even if through color scheme alone). That's kinda why Lockdown's jacket has those random splotches of barf green...I forgot he had all that green in the show and I had to stick it in somewhere...

XD it's just different, is all...I like how a lot of the villainous characters more or less have that deep growl of a voice (that's mostly in Megatron, but kinda shows in Lockdown too) that suggests more than one personality trait or intention

Personally, I pictured him a bit paler but this is great too- I mean, he's got a good tan~ XD

I know, I did too...*disappointed* but if I would have made him any paler, he would have looked, like, really sick...and my eyes won't stand for it if one of my drawings looks sick when it shouldn't be XD

For some reason I wanna say he's choking (cuz he's, well, blue) but I don't think they breathe... and he can't constantly be choking XDDD

and then get promptly smacked on the head by Ratchet tellin him to knock it off XD
and i guess if Optimus IS constantly choking, he's doing a pretty good job keeping his composure all the time XD if I was choking, I'd let the whole world know it! XD
