Description Noviscaprus Unicornis, the Common European Unicorn.
Part of the tribe Cornaenini, A European and Eurasian only tribe, is the only extant species of the genus Noviscaprus the extinct one being the British unicorn (extinct after humans came to the British islands).

Their diet consist of mostly Pine trees, brambles, fruit, grass, and young tree shoots. sometimes eating farmers crops, they stand their feet against humans being difficult to intimidate and aggressive the reason for this being that the more docile were domesticated their docile genes being now part of the bunch of domestic unicorn breeds. only the aggressive and untameable ones were not domesticated by humans. their previous range extended for most part of the Mediterranean region but human domestication, hunt and all around civilization has pushed these animals to a more limited range, the lifespan of these animals is on average 16 years but older ones can reach 25 (domestic breeds can live till their forty's). the pregnancy time of these animals are on average 9 months and the young are taken care of till they are 3 years old. their ossicone is used as a defensive weapon against predators and they only show off their ossicones in inter-specific non-violent displays, in many european countries these animals are sometimes represented as Woodland Deities.
