Description
The Future shark, or as I'm calling it here the Proboscis Shark (after the proboscis like tongue), was definitely among my favourite of the future animals in Primeval, in part due to the fact that many others ended up falling into the same categories (which I brought up on Twitter in the past). Here is my own take on the design, making it more shark like in terms of the Caudal fin, giving it an anal fin (that was missing in the OG) and turning the previously unconnected spines into proper dorsal spikes as seen in modern sharks. The facial armor is a key design to the original, so removing it entirely wasn't really an option, I did turn it down however. While working on it I fell even more in love with this animal's color patter, the dirty redish brown with darker and lighter stripes as well as the stripes on the facial armor.
