Description
Purussaurus neivensis, the "smallest" of the 3 Purussaurus species. In the background specimen UCMP 39657, fragmentary remains specifically based on the reconstructed skull size by Jorge W. Moreno-Bernal. In the foreground the holotype specimen combined with torso proportions based on P. mirandai.The reconstruction was based on DCL (dorsal cranial length), which has been considered unreliable by Paiva et al. 2022
