I made this because, I started to think about the amazing megafauna that walked the earth during the Paleocene through Holocene. They were unable to adjust to global warming. Though the climate was much like it is now, a slight change in temperature can do so make drastic changes to both the environment to the imbalance of temperature for the megafauna.
The amazing creatures had died. They left their amazing remains were left behind. The least we can do is admire them, and what they ounce were… Amazing, intricate, fascinating creatures, with special abilities we see in animals today. But a lot of those abilities were lost in evolution, or specific to megafauna making them more special than animals today.
Like saber toothed cats able to impale their prey and wait for the massive creature to die by suffering their wounds, much like how the Komodo dragon impales its prey with venom and waits for it to die. So that they don’t waste time and energy killing the beasts. Sad way to go, but they gotta eat. Also it’s truly fascinating.
We learn a lot about megafauna, and they teach us more about the past, and the present. It’s almost like they never left. Except that if they had lived, there would probably be less people, and mass chaos.
To sum this up, they were amazing, and this is my R.I.P message in honor of them.
