Description A recovered journal from one of the squad members lost in the Ebon due to an Anomaly Dimension Pull.

Day 0- Our squad don't know where the hell we are. The only thing we could remember before blacking out and waking up here was that weird orb going volatile. I feel like that is the reason why we are in this. We lost all our weapons and equipment and only managed to salvage some pistols laying around this bunker. Unnatural dark sky, unsettling atmosphere, this is a place I do not want to be in. The Sergeant is trying to send out a distress call for us to be rescued, but I don't know how long that is going to be.

Day 1- Today we made our first hostile encounter with the locals in this area. And when I say locals I mean the god damn undead; or at least I think it is. We were sleeping in the middle in the night with Johnson on watch. At first we thought it was a stray like us, but once we saw the rotting flesh hanging from its arm we knew it wasn't normal. We gave ample warnings before firing. It went down without any problems. Guess that is one problem more to add to the list.

Day 3- Things are starting to heat up. Those damn things are starting to notice that we are here. More and more of them are starting to show up. This time however we didn't gave them the chance to come inside. I swear those things are getting stronger. First one took a single shot to the head, now these ones took 3 to 4 of them. These pistols aren't going to cut it.

Day 4- I almost started a fight with Francis and Johnson today because I thought they were hoarding weapons when I saw them with an AK and Mossberg after returning from a scavenging trip away from here. Instead they brought home this mysterious box that can magically spit out weapons randomly (yeah, the firearms economy is fucked if we ever manage to bring this thing back home). Apparently the tanks on our backs have been sucking up whatever evergy those dead things leave behind and uses it to power this thing. At least we are more prepared for those things next time.

Day 7- Or at least I think it is day 7. The sky doesn't seem to have a day and night cycle, just the same dark purple sky. Those things are starting to move faster and find more ways to get in. Some of them even managed to break through solid concrete walls with a tunnel behind it. Did those damned things do that? We need to get the hell out of here asap.

Day 7 Part 2- We lost Sergeant Daniel. One of those damned infected snuck up behind him and bit his shoulder. Before this happen me and Johnson were talking about if they could spread a disease like those zombie horror movies. It was funny at first, but not anymore.

Day 17- Everyone has been over the edge one way or another after we had to put Daniel down. We knew that one bite could be the end of us and we've be ticking time bombs. Francis couldn't rest, Johnson been constantly trying to contact the rest of the Tide Raiders to no avail, and I have been consuling this journey reading back on everything. I swear I feel like I hear voices and my name being called. At least we finally decided our next course of action, fix that nearby tower to amplify our distress signal. We just need a source of power.

Day 19- Welp, I'm all by myself holding down the fort. Francis and Johnson saw a blue beam lighting up from the sky a couple of miles away so they went to investigate it, putting me in charge of the bunker. At least when the attack came there was less than usual this time. I swear those things are tracking us. They mobilize their own before attacking. Maybe they aren't as dumb as they look.

Day 23- Francis and Johnson still hasn't came back yet. Where the fuck are they? They better not have ditch me here and ran off. No, that wouldn't make sense. Tide Raiders wouldn't abandon their own in situations like this. Those damn things are getting way too strong. To the point that they are taking lmg rounds to the chest and still walking. They better come back in the next three days or else I'm going after them to see what is going on.

Day 25- They came back...

Day 26- I am the last one here. Francis and Johnson are dead. Or at least they were dead and then become undead then dead again. I can't even think straight after realizing I put down my comrades in arms and seeing that I am the only one alive now. I'm on my own, ammo is getting low, weapons are becoming less and less effective, every day brings more and more of the damned on my position. I'm too afraid to leave this place. I have to stand my ground. If I'm going to die, I'm going to die fighting.

Day 29- They got me...

Day 30- This place is my tomb. I was a fool for coming here. The Tide Raiders were a fool for sending us here. No one defies the Ebon. She is a cruel mistress. She is calling me to join her. And join her I shall. All it takes is one pull...*the page is painted with dry blood and brain matter*

Remember Nacht and the 4 soldiers who fought for their lives only for them to eventually die because they fates was sealed from the start. Yeah, this was a huge inspiration. Plus I was in the mood to make something creepy so there is that too. Some Tide Raiders were sent in to deal with a strange anomaly energy that risked civilian lives only for it to suck them into a dark dimension filled the undead, cutting them off from their reality. They are cut off from outside help and only had themselves and the unworldly resources at their disposal. It doesn't matter how hard they fight, in the end they all succumb to the darkness. The Ebon rules above all and they are at the very bottom of the food chain. Hope you enjoy!
